Three figures with different jobs
In my About section, the $1.70 million figure describes a fall in unbilled receivables during my first full month at BluSky Restoration. The 68-to-13-day figure describes unbilled days sales outstanding over that period. Work-in-progress reporting in Vista is the task behind the hour-to-fifteen-minute figure.
Combining them into one impressive sentence makes the work harder to understand, because the money figure specifically describes a change in an unbilled balance. Calling it revenue generated or cash collected would add a claim that the published account does not establish. The word “unbilled” carries information. It belongs beside the number, even when the shorter version would make a cleaner headline.
The days figure needs the same care. The difference between 68 and 13 is 55 days, but I keep the start and end values visible so a reader can see the original scale and resulting position. Dropping “unbilled” would broaden what the measure appears to cover. The figure should keep the name of the measure it describes.
The reporting change has a different unit and a clearer task attached. I simplified work-in-progress reporting in Vista, reducing the time it took from an hour to fifteen minutes. That is 45 minutes less for the task. An annual time-saving estimate would also need a reporting frequency, which the figure alone does not supply. A reader should be able to inspect the arithmetic without having to accept an invented schedule.
My role at BluSky spans billing, invoice approvals and job-cost corrections. That is the working context for these figures. The public account is concise; it does not supply enough detail to turn the first month into a step-by-step causal story or assign every part of the change to one intervention. I have kept the account at the level the available evidence supports.
My independent software and research work is described separately, with its AI assistance made explicit; these career figures do not measure the effect of those projects. Putting them on the same website should help someone understand my background without blending the evidence.
A useful result keeps its task, unit and period close enough that the reader can tell what improved. These three numbers have plenty to say with those details still attached.
